Adrianne spent her all childhood summers at the beach or on a boat and she was hooked straight away on the amazing underwater world and has snorkelled and scuba dived ever since. She believes being underwater is such a different experience to being on top of the water and there is an amazing array of fascinating creatures to be seen.
Adrianne has been able to turn her passion for the marine environment into a career having worked as an environmental consultant in the marine field, and in the Commonwealth Government on the Fishcare Program, the development of Australia's Oceans Policy, regulation of sea dumping and preservation of marine species.
The passion for being underwater extended into playing underwater hockey for 20 years and representing Australia at the 2002 Underwater Hockey World Championships in Calgary, Canada. Adrianne also taught students in Canberra schools to snorkel and play underwater hockey.
Aims:
In addition to leading snorkel tours, Adrianne participates in snorkel surveys in the Bateman Marine Park being carried out by the Nature Coast Marine Group in conjunction with Marine Park Management. She believes this continual development of her marine species knowledge and love for the ocean will continue to grow leading snorkelling groups for Total Eco Adventures.
