On Sunday 3rd April, Dr David Bain Director of Total Eco Adventures lead a free interpretive spotlighting bushwalk through Coastal Bangalay Sand Forest near Broulee. The event was well received with over 20 attendees gathering in the dark.
Broulee / Mossy Point Dune Care Coastal Forests Interpretive Walk
On Sunday 16th January, Dr David Bain of Total Eco Adventures conducted an Interpretive Walk through the Eurobodalla's Coastal Forests and Dune Systems at Bengello Forest. The walk focused on the landscape features, flora, fauna and ecosystem processes of the area.
50 Ideas to Help Battle Climate Change and Save the Planet
A recent article in the Good Weekend section of the Sydney Morning Herald (June 19, 2010) caught my attention. Called "How to act cool in 50 steps" it listed 50 practical and easy ways we can all help to reduce our footprint on the planet in our everyday lives. These 50 steps resounded with me and I for one am keen to start enacting many of those that I do not already do. The steps were:

We all want clean water and vibrant beautiful areas to enjoy when we undertake activities in the marine environment. Being environmentally responsible is the only way to ensure these experiences will always be there to take part in. Thankfully, most marine outdoor education activities are low impact and provide valuable opportunities to educate students on sustainable practices.
In terms of current global agendas, environmental awareness is becoming centre stage and this awareness has spread throughout our communities. It is becoming apparent to a large portion of our society that everything we do has an impact on the environment, whether that is negative or positive. This includes our domestic life, school and employment and recreational pursuits.
