The Tomaga River Estuary is located approximately 15km south of Batemans Bay, on the NSW South Coast, only 2 hours drive from ACT and 4 hours from Sydney. You'll enjoy easy flatwater paddling from the safety of your sit-on-top kayak as the beautiful scenery just floats by.

The entrance of the Tomaga Estuary separates the townships of Mossy Point to the south and Tomakin to the north. The estuary has good water quality, extensive seagrass beds and intertidal sandflats and is permanently open to the ocean. The mangrove and saltmarsh areas are pristine and contribute to an important feeding area for fish and birds.

On this tour you can expect to see a wide range of bird species within the coastal bushland, and on the tidal seagrass beds and mud flats stingrays and fish are a common sight. Paddle quietly through the pristine waters, along with the ever present molluscs and crabs of the mangrove forests.

Your qualified Kayak Instructor and Eco Guide will keep you safe and well informed about the local area. All equipment is supplied and our introduction to kayaking lesson provides full instruction to any inexperienced paddlers. Perfect for the whole family, groups, couples or individuals, this activity is suitable for all ages 5 years and above.
